I visited them both. I liked GT better. Problem is, it's 30k out of state (WITHOUT ROOM AND BOARD). And my second choice, UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA HOME OF THE FIGHTING GATORS hasn't released their app yet.

Whoa. Did they dress up the MRDC building with random door decorations while I was away?

Yes they did.

Isn't Georgia Tech one of the best automotive engineering schools in the country?

Yeah, but then you can meet up with all the other GT oppos, current and those who got out.

That’s a pretty expensive school. Never would have thought it would be that expensive. But then again I don’t much about GT other than my alma mater plays them in football every couple seasons (... I think...).
I would think that U of F would at least have their application released before any cut off for early acceptance to GT right? You should have plenty of time to apply to both and wait to hear back from both. Plus, you can always accept one, then drop it if a better option comes along.

If you manage to snag a scholarship from the school, you may qualify for in-state tuition. Their website doesn’t indicate this, but does list a whole host of reasons for them granting in-state tuition.

I live just outside of Atlanta, so a lot of my classmates from high school went to GT. I haven’t been keeping up with any of them, really, but according to Facebook I’m pretty sure they all like it. It has an excellent campus, too, for being smack in the middle of a huge city rather than a cozy college town.

That’s really great. I chose the “less debt = more money for hooning” approach. But part of me regrets that decision. Sometimes I wish I had gone to a more prestigious engineering school rather than a local state school. Good luck with the applications!

As a uga student I'm required to say something negative about tech. But seriously tech is a great school for engineering and mechanics. Can't go wrong. Plus Atlanta is a great city

‘But if I had a son, sir, I’ll tell you what he’d do—
He would yell, ‘To hell with Georgia!’ like his daddy used to do.”
